Pea Sea

 

Christopher Rollen started Pea Sea in the late 90s in his hometown of Gretna, Dumfriesshire, Pea Sea has been exploring the art of songwriting with elements of storytelling, pop folklore and confessional poetics.

Rollen can also be heard singing and guitaring in Les Cox Sportifs, both of whom have enjoyed some airplay and sessions for the groovy Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music.

After stints in Newcastle and Berlin, Pea Sea currently resides in Oxford.

The final instalment of Pea Sea's trilogy, 'A Pyke of Patina Slate' arrives 8 years since ' Lonnin Life' (2017) and 'The Debatable Land' (2013) which featured production and instrumentation from Field Music. Tracked across Berlin, Sunderland and Oxford, the album includes contributions from Tom English (Maximo Park) and Peter Brewis (Field Music) additional engineering and instrumental support comes from Tim Greaves and Adam Serafini.
